The Lady Rebels Varsity unfortunately couldn’t capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Wickliffe Blue Devils on Thursday, falling 7-1. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn’t forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Makayla Schneider made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

South Varsity and JV will take on Green at 1:00pm and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
