The Lady Rebels dropped a doubleheader against a very tough Green Bulldogs team Saturday. South’s offense is still looking to be fired up to the level it had been at heading into the season while defensive hiccups were less but just enough to keep victory out of the hands of the Rebels.
There were a handful of positives however as Freshman Jenna Heil saw action and collected her first Varsity hit and run scored in game two and sophomore Mariya Reed was a bright spot going 2-3 in game two.
Pitching struggled a bit but there’s no doubt this staff will right the ship quickly and both catchers, Linell Dichazy and Summer Bliss, played great on defense mowing down several would-be base stealers.
Next up for the Lady Rebels is a home game against Gilmour Academy on Monday at 5pm.
