In run rule fashion the South Lady Rebels dismantled the Mayfield Varsity Wildcats 16-6 in five innings. Led by strong pitching by Violet Dichazy and the hitting of Addy Matriano, Mariya Reed and Makayla Schneider the Lady Rebels put five runs on the board in the first inning and never looked back.

Matriano went 3-4 in the game driving in four runs and scoring three while Reed was 2-3 with two nice doubles, drove in two runs and scored two as well. All together South cranked out 14 hits as every player in the lineup got at least one hit in the game.

On defense the Rebels played error-free holding the Wildcats at bay helping secure the win by the fifth inning. 

The win is South’s second straight and ups their record to 2-3 but more importantly 2-0 in the WRC.

Next up for the Lady Rebels will be Perry at 1pm on Saturday at South.
