Lady Rebels bats were alive this afternoon during their 8-4 victory over a talented Perry Pirates squad, their third win in a row.
Savannah Jolly continued to swing a hot bat this afternoon going 3-4 including two doubles and a triple driving in 2 runs.Makayla Schneider joined the hit parade as she went 2-4 with an RBI and scored 2 runs. The sophomore also had 2 stolen bases. The South lineup was kick started by junior speedster Paige Janson who, in the leadoff spot, was 2-3 with an RBI and RUN along with a stolen base.
Halle Zupancic started the game in the circle for the Lady Rebels and went the distance scattering 8 hits and striking out 5 Pirate batters. She even helped her cause with a clutch RBI single in the 6th inning to pad the Rebels’ lead.
The win evens the South record at 3-3 overall on the season and they’ll host Chardon on Monday in more conference game action.
