The Lady Rebels lose a tough one tonight to conference rival Chardon 6-5. Leading 4-2 into the 7th inning the Rebels seemed set for a 4th straight win but the Hilltoppers had other plans. A combination of hits and untimely errors doomed the Lady Rebels who climbed back to almost tie the game with a runner at third in the bottom of the 7th.
Violet Dichazy took the loss for South despite a tremendously efficient outing in the circle scattering 8 hits, allowing only 2 earned runs, striking out 4 and walking only one.
At the plate Halle Zupancic appears to have her bat warming up going 2-3 with a double and triple.
Next up for the Rebels is West Geauga tomorrow at 5pm at South.
